- EN -9Installation ACut the stepped hose adapters such that the connection opening coincides with the hose diameter. This helps to avoidpressure loss.At the filter pump, push or turn the hose onto the stepped hose connection, secure with hose clips and screw onto thefilter pump connection thread.InstallationPlace the unit in the pond horizontally on firm, sludge-free ground and ensure that it is completely covered with waterat a maximum of 4 m below the surface of the water.Commissioning/start-upN O T ESensitive electrical components. Incorrect connection will destroy the unit. Do not connect the unit to a dimmable power supply.N O T EPrevent the pump from running dry. Otherwise the pump will be destroyed. Only operate the pump when it is immersed.C A U T I O NRisk of injury due to fast rotating components.A temperature monitor switches the unit off automatically in the event of overload and on again once it hascooled down. Isolate the unit before starting any work.This is how to connect the power supply:Switching on: Connect the unit to the mains. The unit switches on immediately.Switching off: Disconnect the unit from the mains.Maintenance and cleaningW A R N I N GPossible death or severe injury from hazardous electrical voltage! Prior to reaching into the water, isolate (switch off and disconnect) all units/devices used in the water. Isolate the device (disconnect from the power supply) before carrying out any work on it.Cleaning the unitN O T ERecommendation regarding cleaning: Clean the unit as required but at least twice a year. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as they could attack the housing or impair the functionof the unit. Recommended cleaning agent for removing stubborn limescale deposits:– Pump cleaning agent PumpClean from OASE.– Vinegar- and chlorine-free household cleaning agent. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water.
