107. Retractable Spiked Feet*6. Mounting the HeadA spike is built into each of thetripod’s rubber feet. The rubbernon-skid feet are for use indoors oron flat surfaces, while the spikesare for soft ground, grass, sand,and on uneven terrain. To extendthe spike, rotate the rubber pad atthe bottom of the foot clockwiseuntil the spike is fully exposed.Turn the foot counterclockwiseto fully retract the spike into therubber foot. For CT-2441, see notebelow.*Models CT-2431, CT-2331 andCT-2441 feature a removable rubbercap with a spike beneath it on eachtripod leg. To exchange a rubberfoot for a spiked foot, simply pull therubber cap off the leg, exposing thespike underneath. When a rubberfoot is desired, replace the rubbercap over the spike.* Model CT-2391 featuresinterchangeable rubber feet andspiked feet.
