Route the drain hoseinto the sewage drain at the rear of theindoor unit. The drain must not bepermanently connected to the sewagedrain! A funnel with a siphon must beprovided.- Size the drain hose to ensure water can drainfreely when the safety valve is fully open.- Ensure that the safety valve drain hose is opento the atmosphere.- Route the safety valve drain hose with acontinuous slope to the drain.- Secure the drain hose to prevent movementwhen water is running out.Expansion vessel/system pressurePreparation for filling:A 24 l expansion vessel is installed in the heatpump Golf-Midi indoor unit. In buffer systems orsystems with higher capacity, this expansionvessel should be checked. If required, install anadditional expansion vessel in the system(externally, not inside the appliance).Figure 20: Draining and filling detailed viewBefore filling the system, check the pre-chargepressure in the expansion vessel. This must bematched to the building height.- Static head: Difference between highest andlowest points in the system.- Pre-charge pressure = static head + 0.3 bar- System charge pressure = pre-charge pressure+0.5 bar (when cold)- Max. permissible operating pressure: 2.6 bar.Select a safety valve with 3.0 bar.See EN ISO 4126-1:2013-10-15, part 1: Safetyvalves.- Flush the heating system thoroughly beforefilling.- Only fill with water of potable quality.CAUTION!Replace plastic closures withsuitable plugs.Air vent valveDrain and fill openingExpansion vessel
