When prompted, select one or both printer emulations:GDI: This emulation installs the printer driver, and the Twain driver (used forinitiating a scan from your PC via software).FAX: The fax printer driver allows you to send faxes directly from your computerwithout printing the document first. With Oki’s fax driver you are sending thefax data from your computer to the MFP, and then the MFP automaticallysends the document.Windows XP has built-in fax support - you can use your computer’s modemto send faxes directly from your computer.8. Follow the on-screen instructions.9. When prompted, connect the USB cable and turn the printer on.Note: You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group inorder to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, networkpolicy settings may also prevent you from completing this procedure.
