Detailed printer statusis provided by the Status Monitor inWindows or Printer Driver in Macintosh.The Operation Panel incorporates 2 LEDs,a two-line LCD, and 6 push-buttons asfollows (from left to right):1 ATTENTION LED (amber):2 ON LINE LED (green)3 LCD4 Menu Back button5 Menu Up button, Menu Down button6 Menu Enter button7 ON LINE switch8 CANCEL switchThe buttons are used to operate theprinter; the LEDs and LCD display thestatus of the printer.Print a Demo Page1 Press the ENTER button on your printerto display INFORMATION MENU on theLCD.2 Press ENTER to select the menu.3 Press the DOWN ARROW until DEMO1 isdisplayed on the LCD.4 Press ENTER to print the demo page.Print the Menu MapThe Menu Map prints a list of all theprinter's menus and their currentsettings.1 Press the ENTER button on your printerto display INFORMATION MENU on theLCD.2 Press ENTER to select the menu.3 PRINT MENU MAP is displayed on theLCD; press ENTER to print the menumap.Computer ConnectionInstall Network Cable1 Turn the printer OFF.2 Locate the LAN port (A). Remove theplastic cap.3 Connect the Ethernet cable betweenthe printer and the Ethernet hub orrouter.USB ConnectionNOTE: Windows USB—Install the printersoftware BEFORE installing the USB cable.
