C3600n User’s Guide63Color menuThe printer automatically adjusts color balance and density atappropriate intervals, optimizing the printed output for brightwhite paper viewed in natural daylight conditions. The itemson this menu provide a means of changing the default settingsfor special or particularly difficult print jobs. Settings revert totheir default values when the next print job is complete.COLOR MENUITEM SETTINGS EXPLANATIONDENSITYCONTROLADJUSTMENTMODEAUTOMANUALIf set to AUTO, image density will beautomatically adjusted at power on,when a new image drum or tonercartridge is installed, and at intervalsof 100, 300 and 500 drum counts. Ifa 500 drum count interval occursduring a print job it will occur at theend of that job, and will take up to55 seconds. If set to MANUAL, thisadjustment will only be performedwhen initiated by the next menuitem.CMYKCONVERSIONONOFFTo simplify the conversion process ofCMYK data and reduce processingtime, set to OFF. Notes: This settingis ignored when Ink Simulation isused. This setting only applies to PSmodels.CMY 100%DENSITYDISABLEENABLEWhen enabled, black areas areproduced using 100% C, M, and Yinstead of black. This results in aglossier finish.UCR LOWMEDIUMHIGHSelects a limitation of the toner layerthickness. If paper curling occurs indark printing, selecting MEDIUM orLIGHT may reduce curling.INKSIMULATIONOFFSWOPEUROSCALEJAPANSelects from a range of industry-standard color swatches.
