10Loading DocumentsThe MFP can scan/copy/send documentseither in the ADF (Automatic DocumentFeeder) or on the glass. The ADF canhold up to 50 pages.Using the ADFMake sure your documents meet thefollowing specifications:• Size: 4.5" x 5.5" (114.3 x 139.7mm)to 8.5" x 14" (215.9 x 355.6mm)• Weight: 16 to 28 lb. (9.002" to0.006" sheet thickness)• Document(s) should be: square orrectangular and in good condition(not fragile or worn); free of curl,wrinkle, tears, wet ink, or punchholes, staples, paper clips, papersticky notes.For irregular type of documents, use theglass or make a copy first and thentransmit the copy.In the ADF1. Make sure your document is free ofstaples, paper clips and is not torn.2. If your have multiple pages, fan yourdocuments to avoid occasional paperjams. The ADF holds up to 50 pagessheets of 20 lb. paper.3. Place your document with the textFACE UP in the ADF and make surethat the top of each page feeds infirst.4. Adjust the paper guides (1) to centerthe document in the ADF.
