Menu functions> 73COLOUR MENUThe printer automatically adjusts colour balance and density atappropriate intervals, optimising the printed output for brightwhite paper viewed in natural daylight conditions. The items onthis menu provide a means of changing the default settings forspecial or particularly difficult print jobs. Settings revert to theirdefault values when the next print job is complete.I TEM S ETTINGS E XPLANATIONDENSITYCONTROLAUTOMANUALIf set to AUTO, image density will beautomatically adjusted at power on,when a new image drum or tonercartridge is installed, and at intervalsof 100, 300 and 500 drum counts. Ifa 500 drum count interval occursduring a print job it will occur at theend of that job, and will take up to55 seconds. If set to manual, thisadjustment will only be performedwhen initiated by the next menuitem.ADJUSTDENSITYEXECUTE Selecting this will permit adjustmentof the colour density.AJSTREGISTRATIONEXECUTE Performs automatic colourregistration adjustment. Normallythis is done on power on and whenthe top cover is opened and thenclosed.
