C7100/7300/C7500Transfer BeltReplacement Instructions58397201Caution! The fuser unit (at theback of the printer) may beHOT. Let it cool down beforeattempting to replace the trans-fer belt.1.Turn off the printer.2. Pull up on the handle and liftthe cover.3. Lift out the drum/tonercradle.4. Press back on the lock lever(circled) and, while holdingthe lock lever, lift the end ofthe transfer belt unit up bythe blue handle (squared).5. Grasp both handles and liftthe transfer belt unit out ofthe printer. Discard inaccordance with localregulations.Caution! Make sure the bluelock levers at either end of thefuser have snapped back lock-ing the fuser unit in place. Ifnot, pull them toward the frontof the printer.6. Unpack the new transfer beltunit.Caution! Be careful to avoidtouching the shiny black sur-face of the transfer belt.7. Hold the transfer belt by thehandles and lower it into theprinter, carefully aligning thepins at the front of the beltinto the slots at the front ofthe printer.8. Using the blue handle, firmlypush the unit into place untilit clicks. If necessary, pullthe blue lock lever (circled)toward the front of theprinter to lock the transferbelt into place.9.
