C9600 Printing Guide> 35G RAPHIC PROThis section describes the color matching options available forGraphic Pro.The Graphic Pro color matching system is based around ICC profiles.These profiles are downloaded to the printer using the ProfileAssistant utility and then selected in the printer driver. When a jobis sent to the printer, the ICC profiles are applied to the print job onthe printer.NoteThe printer’s internal hard disk is an optional accessory for C9600nand C9600dn, and standard equipment on C9600hdn and C9600hdtn.WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH GRAPHIC PRO COLOR MATCHING?The Graphic Pro color matching system is both powerful and flexible.Here are some examples of how the Graphic Pro color matchingsystem can be used:MATCHING PRINTER COLOR TO AN RGB INPUT DEVICEBy using the ICC profiles of a scanner, digital camera or monitor, theprinter's color can be matched to the input device.PRINTER SIMULATIONYour printer can be used to simulate the color output of anotherprinter, even when printing RGB documents. For best results, useCMYK documents when simulating the color output of other printers.I MPORTANT !Some features of Graphic Pro color matching can only beused if your printer is fitted with a hard disk. The printerhard disk is required if you wish to download and useyour own ICC profiles to the printer.If your printer does not have a hard disk fitted, you willonly be able to select the factory default profiles that arebuilt-in to the printer.
