For example, the colors may look different when viewedstanding next to a sunlit window, compared to how they look understandard office fluorescent lighting.Printer driver color settingsThe driver settings for Manual color can change the appearance ofa printed document. There are several options available to helpmatch the printed colors with those displayed on screen. Theseoptions are explained in subsequent sections.To access the color matching options in the driver discussed below:1. Access the printer settings page via the Print dialog from anyapplication (usually accessed via File →Print).2. Click on the General drop down menu and select Color Option.Monitor settingsThe brightness and contrast controls on your monitor can changehow your document looks on-screen. Additionally, your monitor’scolor temperature influences how “warm” or “cool” the colors look.NOTESeveral of the Color Matching options make referenceto your monitor’s Color Temperature. Many modernmonitors allow the color temperature to be adjustedusing the monitor’s control panel.
