33-32 Managing Color in Office ApplicationsES3640e MFP Color Reference Guide - 32Because office applications send RGB data to the Fiery, yourchoice of RGB Source and Rendering Style settings are important.Specify the appropriate CRD for the desired color effect (see theColor Guide Chapter 1).Output profilesAll color data in the job is affected by the output profile on theFiery. This profile may be the one designed for your device andshipped with the Fiery, or it may be a custom profile created atyour site (see the Color Guide Chapter 1). If necessary, print theTest Page to see which profile is the active default on the Fiery.Ensuring color accuracy when you save a fileTake the following steps to ensure color accuracy:ï When saving EPS files, do not include PostScript ColorManagement information. This minimizes the risk of conflictingdata and multiple color conversions. PostScript ColorManagement causes your CMYK and RGB colors to beinterpreted by the Fiery as though they were supplied in the Labcolor space and, as a result, processed by CRDs, rather thanyour simulation settings.ï Include ICC color information in files. ColorWise does notconflict with this information, and such data is useful foridentifying the specific color space used by your files.ï Do not include halftone and transfer functions.ï Turn off color management in the printer driver. On Windows computers, if the printer driver offers Image ColorMatching options, select Printer Image Color Matching. On Mac OS computers, set the printer driver to include no colormanagement commands at print time (see the Color GuideChapter 1).
