2-3681640J JP 90 - Service ManualFunctions of the KeysThe following table describes the functions of the keys in the different printer operating modes.Some of the functions are obtained by pressing one or more keys simultaneously.POWER When pressed for less than four seconds powers the printer ON or OFF.When pressed for more than four seconds activates the battery charging function.The printer switches back to ONLINE when battery charging ends.ON LINE When pressed for less than four seconds switches the printer OFFLINE.(LED on) The print head carriage moves to its parking position.ON LINE When pressed for less than four seconds switches the printer ONLINE.(LED off)FORM FEED Feeds the paper to the first print line (TOF).Expels the paper that is already loaded in the printer.If there is no paper in the printer and and the FORM FEED LED is flashing, afterloading paper in the printer press this key to print the data stored in the buffer.When pressed for more than four seconds allows jammed paper to be removed.CARTRIGDE When pressed once moves the print head carriage to the print head installation/replacement. Pressed a second time moves the print head carriage to its parkingposition.POWER With the printer powered OFF, pressing these two keys simultaneously and then+ releasing first the POWER key followed by the FORM FED key will print all the dataFORM FEED in hexadecimal format.Power off the printer to exit from this print mode.ON LINE Pressing these two keys simultaneously for more than four seconds activates the+ fast discharging of the NiCd batteries.FORM FEEDPOWER With the printer powered OFF, pressing these two keys simultaneously and then+ releasing first the POWER key followed by the CARTRIDGE key automaticallyCARTRIDGE activates the print test.ON LINE Pressing these two keys simultaneously for more than four seconds automatically+ prints the demo page.CARTRIDGE.
