The risk here is, should you lose your mobile phone, the datastored on it could be misused by third-parties and subsequent costs couldbe charged to you.When you change your PIN or phone lock password, we urgently recom-mend that you note down the new PIN or phone lock password and keep itwhere it cannot be accessed by third-parties.Switching the PIN prompt on/off1. Navigate to Menu Settings Securitysettings SIM1security PINlock.2. Enter the PIN. The setting is saved.The standard PIN is contained with the documents provided with the SIMcard.3. The PIN request is switched on or off.Changing the PIN1. Navigate to Menu Settings Securitysettings SIM1security ChangePIN.2. Enter your PIN.The standard PIN is contained with the documents provided with the SIMcard.3. Enter the new PIN.4. Enter the new PIN again.5. Confirm the prompt. The setting is saved.The PIN is stored on the SIM card. If you give your SIM card to someoneelse or insert it in another mobile phone, the newly entered PIN is valid.If you forget your PIN, you can reset the SIM card to its default settingsafter entering the PUK.
