This troubleshooting guide has been prepared based onthe assumption that the instrument has not been modified, and that all cables andconnectors used are those provided and documented by Olympus.5.1 Start-Up ProblemsThe OmniScan SX does not start.Possible solutions:• Check that the DC power adaptor is connected to both the OmniScan SX and apower outlet with the proper voltage. Use only the adaptor supplied with theOmniScan SX.• Make sure that the battery is charged to at least 10 % capacity and correctlyinserted into the battery compartment.• Press and hold the Power key for three seconds or longer.5.2 Battery Charging ProblemsThe battery does not charge when placed in the OmniScan SX.Possible solutions:• Make sure that the battery model used in the OmniScan SX is compatible with themodel suggested by Olympus. An incompatible battery may be able to power theunit, but the recharge protocol may not recognize it.
