Insert the film cartridge until itclicks into position.ISO400 film is recommended. If youare going to use non-DX-coded film,use ISO100 film.LOADING THE FILM3. Align the film leader with the guideline (A), and place the film betweenthe positioning guides (B). Thenclose the back cover until it clicks.Make sure the back cover releasehas returned to the lower position.The film automatically advances tothe first frame.CorrectIncorrect1. Open the lens barrier until itclicks. The lens will extendslightly and the LCD panel willturn on. Compose your shot.Push the zoom lever to the “T”side for telephoto (80mm) or tothe “W” side for wide angle(38mm).After about 4 minutes and 30seconds of inactivity, the lensretracts and the LCD panelgoes out.2. Position the autofocus markson your subject.Do not look at the sun orother strong light sourcesthrough the viewfinder.3. Press the shutter releasebutton halfway to focus on thesubject. After making sure thatthe green lamp lights, pressthe shutter release button allthe way to take the picture.After the shutter is released,the film automaticallyadvances to the next frame.TAKING PICTURESThis camera uses a wide multi-autofocus system that makes iteasier for the focus to lock on thesubject even if it’s not in thecenter of the frame.4.
