Charging begins automatically. The batterystatus LED shines yellow while the unit is charging,and will shine green when the battery is charged.The charger circuit inside the Weather Sensor turnsitself off when the unit is fully charged. The battery ispartially charged at the factory. Initial charging timemay be three hours or longer. Press the flexiblecover back in place after removing the USB cable.Turn on the SensorPress the ON/OFF button. All three status LEDs willshine momentarily. If the battery is charged, the Batterystatus LED will stop shining. The GPS status and theBluetooth status LEDs will continue to blink red. Thisindicates that the device is ready to connect to GPS sat-ellites and connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to a comput-ing device such as a computer or tablet.To turn off the sensor, press and HOLD the ON/OFFbutton until the Battery status LED shines red momen-tarily and the other status LEDs stop shining.Software HelpNOTE: See the SPARKvue Help or PASCO CapstoneHelp for information about collecting, displaying, andanalyzing data.• In SPARKvue, select the HELP button in any screenincluding the Home Screen.• In PASCO Capstone, select PASCO Capstone Helpfrom the Help menu, or press F1.Connect the Sensor WirelesslyStart the PASCO data collection software (such asPASCO Capstone or SPARKvue).PASCO Capstone: Select “Hardware Setup” in the Toolspalette. When the software detects the WirelessWeather Sensor, the Bluetooth status LED on the sen-sor blinks green. In the Hardware Setup window, selectthe sensor that has a six-digit Device ID that matchesthe Device ID on the sensor itself.
