5Parts and Their Functions1 237STBYSAVEPOWERAUDIO INMIC POWERCH 3MICLINEOFFONCH 45641 Audio CH 3/CH 4 level meter2 AUDIO LEVEL CH 3/CH 4 (audiochannel 3/4 recording level) controlsWhen the AUDIO SELECT CH 3/CH 4switch 4 is set to MAN, the recordinglevels of the audio channel 3 and 4signals can be adjusted using thesecontrols.3 MONITOR SELECT (audio channelselector) switchThis is used to select the audio channelwhose signals are to be output from theAUDIO OUT connector or PHONESjack.CH 3 : The audio CH 3 signals areoutput.CH 4 : The audio CH 4 signals areoutput.ST/MIX : The audio CH 3 and CH 4signals are mixed and output tothe AUDIO OUT connector.Stereo audio signals are outputto the PHONES jack.4 AUDIO SELECT CH 3/CH 4 (audiochannel 3/4 automatic/manual leveladjustment selector) switchThis is used to select the method foradjusting the audio channel 3 and/or 4recording level.AUTO : The recording level is adjustedautomatically.MAN : The recording level is adjustedmanually.5 AUDIO IN CH 3/CH 4 (audio inputselector) switchesThese are used to select the inputsignals which are to be recorded onaudio channels 3 and 4.MIC : The audio signals from the micinput are recorded.LINE : The audio signals which are inputfrom the audio component arerecorded.6 MIC POWER CH 3/CH 4 (mic powerselector) switchesThese are used to turn on or off thepower to the microphones which areconnected to the AUDIO IN CH 3 andCH 4 connectors.ON : Power (+48 V) for phantommicrophones is supplied.OFF : No power is supplied.7 POWER switchThis controls the camera adapter’spower.STBY : The unit’s power is turned on oroff in tandem with the setting ofthe power switch on the camera.SAVE : The camera adapter’s power isturned off regardless of thesetting of the power switch onthe camera.
