32Replacement of consumable partsOReplacing the batteryThe battery lasts for about 5 years.The pan-tilt head stores the presentpositions, limiter positions and other datain its memory. Although this data isretained even after the power has beenturned off, it will be lost when the poweris turned off once the battery hasreached the end of its service life.Replace the battery once it has lost itseffectiveness. (The pan-tilt head uses aCR2032 manganese dioxide-lithiumbattery.)Removing the battery1. Remove the four cover screws, andremove the head cover.2. Press the battery in the directionshown by the arrow in the figure, andslide it.3. From this position, lift the battery fromthe bottom of its arrow area.4. Once the arrow part of the battery hasbeen removed from the battery holder,pull the battery forward and out toremove it completely.Installing the new battery1. With the “+” pole of the new batteryturned toward you, insert the end intothe battery holder from the direction ofthe arrow.2. While pushing the battery in thedirection of the arrow, push it right intothe holder.Replacing the motorReplace the motor if it is not workingproperly.OConsult your dealer on how to replacethe motor.Replacing the gearReplace the gear when its preset stopaccuracy has deteriorated.OConsult your dealer on how to replacethe gear.The motor and gear are consumableparts.They must be replaced at regularintervals.
