There should not be any animal or plant whichcould be affected by hot air discharged. Keep the spaces indicated by arrows from wall, ceiling, fence or other obstacles. Do not place any obstacles which may cause ashort circuit of the discharged air. If piping length is over the [piping length foradditional gas], additional refrigerant should beadded as shown in the table. Recommended installation height for outdoor unitshould be above the seasonal snow level.Example: For E9RKUAWIf the unit is installed at 32.8 ft (10 m) distance, thequantity of additional refrigerant should be 1.64 oz(50 g) .... (32.8 - 24.6) ft x 0.2 oz/ft = 1.64 oz.((10 -7.5) m x 20 g/m = 50 g).11.1.3 Indoor/Outdoor Unit InstallationDiagramModel Capacity(Btu/h)Piping sizeStd.LengthMax.ElevationMin.PipingLengthMax.PipingLengthAdditionalRefrigerantPipingLengthfor add.gasGas LiquidE9RKUAW 9000 3/8"(9.52 mm) 1/4"(6.35 mm)24.6 ft(7.5 m)49.2 ft(15 m)9.8 ft(3 m)65.6 ft(20 m)0.2 oz/ft(20 g/m)24.6 ft(7.5 m)E12RKUAW 11500 1/2"(12.7 mm)1 31/32"(50 mm)or more2 9 / 16 "(65 mm)or more8 ft (2.4 m)or more(Left and right are identical)Floor / Grade level Vinyl tape• This illustration is forexplanation purposes only. The indoor unit will actually facea different way.3 15 / 16 "(100 mm)or more39 3 / 8 "(1000 mm)or more3 15 / 16 "(100 mm)or more11 13 / 16 "(300 mm)or moreIt is advisable toavoid more than 2blockage directions. For better ventilation& multiple-outdoorinstallation, pleaseconsult authorizeddealer/specialist.Installation plate 1Sleeve ()Bushing-Sleeve ()Bend the pipe asclosely on the wall aspossible, but be carefulthat it doesn’t break.Saddle ()Conduit(Power supply cord ())Control Board cover6Remotecontrol 3Additional drain hose ()Gas side piping ()Conduit(Connection cable)Putty ()(Gum Type Sealer)Installation parts youshould purchase ()Vinyl tape (wide) ()• Apply after carryingout a drainage test.• To carry out thedrainage test, and pour water intoremove the air filtersthe heat exchanger.Liquid side piping ()Piping direction Do not bend updrain hose(Front side)RightRearRightbottomLeftRear Left bottomLeftInsulation of piping connectionsAttaching the remote control holder to the wall• Carry out insulation afterchecking for gas leaks andsecure with vinyl tape.Remote control holder fixing screwsRemote control holder 5
