29 English Safety precautions• The recovery equipment shall be in goodworking order with a set of instructionsconcerning the equipment that is at hand andshall be suitable for the recovery of flammablerefrigerants.• In addition, a set of calibrated weighing scalesshall be available and in good working order.• Hoses shall be complete with leak-freedisconnect couplings and in good condition.• Before using the recovery machine, checkthat it is in satisfactory working order, hasbeen properly maintained and that anyassociated electrical components are sealedto prevent ignition in the event of a refrigerantrelease.Consult manufacturer if in doubt.• The recovered refrigerant shall be returned tothe refrigerant supplier in the correct recoverycylinder, and the relevant Waste TransferNote arranged.• Do not mix refrigerants in recovery units andespecially not in cylinders.• If compressors or compressor oils are tobe removed, ensure that they have beenevacuated to an acceptable level to makecertain that flammable refrigerant does notremain within the lubricant.• The evacuation process shall be carriedout prior to returning the compressor to thesuppliers.• Only electric heating to the compressor bodyshall be employed to accelerate this process.• When oil is drained from a system, it shall becarried out safely.ACXF55-17630_YZ0218-0.indb 29ACXF55-17630_YZ0218-0.indb 29 1/9/2018 2:24:54 PM1/9/2018 2:24:54 PM
