6Safety precautionsPrevent electric shock by switching offthe power supply and unplug:- Before cleaning or servicing,- When extended non-use, or- During abnormally strong lightningactivity.Precaution for using R32 refrigerantPay careful attention to the following points whenoperating the appliances and dealing with differentrefrigerants.Since the working pressure is higher thanthat of refrigerant R22 models, some ofthe piping and installation and servicetools are special.Especially, when replacing a refrigerantR22 model with a new refrigerant R32model, always replace the conventionalpiping and flare nuts with the R32 andR410A piping and flare nuts on theoutdoor unit side. For R32 and R410A, the same flare nuton the outdoor unit side and pipe can beused.Models that use refrigerant R32 andR410A have a different charging portthread diameter to prevent erroneouscharging with refrigerant R22 and forsafety. Therefore, check beforehand. [Thecharging port thread diameter for R32and R410A is 12.7 mm (1/2 inch).]Be more careful than R22 so that foreignmatter (oil, water, etc.) does not enter thepiping. Also, when storing the piping, securelyseal the opening by pinching, taping, etc.(Handling of R32 is similar to R410A.)This appliance shall be stored in a wellventilated area. This appliance shall be stored in a roomwithout continuously operating openflames and ignition sources. This appliance shall be stored so asto prevent mechanical damage fromoccurring.CAUTIONIndoor unit and outdoor unitDo not wash the indoor unit with water, benzine, thinner or scouring powder toavoid damage or corrosion at the unit.Do not use for preservation of preciseequipment, food, animals, plants, artworkor other objects. This may cause qualitydeterioration, etc.Do not use any combustible equipmentin front of the airflow outlet to avoid firepropagation.Do not expose plants or pet directly toairflow to avoid injury, etc.Do not touch the sharpaluminium fin, sharp parts maycause injury.Do not switch ON the indoor unit whenwaxing the floor. After waxing, aerate theroom properly before operating the unit.Do not install the unit in oily and smokyareas to prevent damage to the unit.Do not dismantle the unit for cleaningpurpose to avoid injury.Do not step onto an unstable benchwhen cleaning the unit to avoid injury.Do not place a vase or water containeron the unit. Water may enter the unit anddegrade the insulation. This may causean electric shock.Do not open window or door for long timeduring operation, it may lead to inefficientpower usage and uncomfortabletemperature changes.
