Main Control KnobSet to either “ ” LOW COOL or “ ” HIGHCOOL and “ ” LOW HEAT or “ ” HIGHHEAT as required.(FAN setting operates the fan only.)* Caution: If the Main Control Knob is turnedoff or changed to a fan setting from a coolingor heating operation setting, WAIT at least 3minutes before resetting to a cooling orheating operation.4. Thermostat Control KnobSet the Thermostat Control Knob to the desiredsetting. (Usually “ ~ ” (Red) is arecommended setting for heating and “ ~ ”(Blue) for cooling.) If the room temperature isunsatisfactory after a reasonable amount oftime, turn the control knob clockwise or anti-clockwise to make the room cooler or warmer.• When the Thermostat Control Knob is set to“ ” (Blue), moisture may freeze onto the coilsand prevent effective cooling. If this happens,turn the knob to “ ” (Gray) FAN, and thethermostat control knob anticlockwise. This willquickly defrost the cooling coil so that normalcooling can be resumed.5.
