CALIBRATION PROCEDURESPMCD030901C8 Section 9 Issue 1Service Manual – 55 – Revision 09.4. Battery Calibration9.4.1 PreliminariesThere are two procedures associated with battery calibration, battery temperature and battery voltage.1. Connect the RF Adaptor / Baseband Jig, telephone and PC as shown in the diagram below.Figure 9.3: Battery calibration test connections2. Set the Interface box to POWER ON, IGN and EXT PWR OFF.3. With the CB2000 software running, select the ‘Baseband Calibration’ button.4. Select the Battery Calibration tab.5. The Battery Calibration window is divided into three areas:a) Semi-Auto Voltage Calibrationb) Temperature Calibration.c) Charging Calibration.9.4.2 Semi-Auto Battery Calibration1. Ensure that VBAT is set to 3.7 V.2. Carry out the instructions described in the main dialogue window. Note that the VBAT HIGH voltage is 4.2 V and that VBATLOW voltage is 3.0 V.9.4.3. Temperature Calibration1. Ensure that VBAT is set to 3.7 V.2. Carry out the instructions described in the main dialogue window.3. If at any time the message “Temperature Cal failed”, the calibration procedure has failed. Check all test equipmentconnections and that the correct resistor has been selected before suspecting a problem with the handset. Furtherinformation may be displayed in the dialogue window.4. When the message “Temperature Cal Done” is displayed in the dialogue window, the calibration procedure has beencompleted.9.4.4 Charging Calibration1. On the Interface Box, ensure that the EXT PWR switch is ON. Check that the RF Adaptor / Baseband Jig 82 Ohms switchis set to ON.2. Carry out the instructions described in the main dialogue window.3. When prompted, measure the RF Adaptor / Baseband Jig voltage by connecting a voltmeter to the terminals on the top ofthe RF Adaptor / Baseband Jig.4. If at any time the message “Charging Cal failed”, the calibration procedure has failed. Check all test equipmentconnections and that the correct resistor has been selected before suspecting a problem with the handset. Furtherinformation may be displayed in the dialogue window.5. When the message “Charging Cal Done” is displayed in the dialogue window, the calibration procedure has beencompleted.PCCABLE 110743-1All manuals and user guides at all-guides.com
