1233. Scroll to desired setting and select:• Enter Lock Code to Use PhoneTo prevent unapproved use, you can lock the phone. When thephone is locked, the lock code must be entered before the phonecan be used. The phone lock icon indicates that the phone islocked.To unlock the phone, enter the lock code. You may be able to dialthe local emergency number and accept incoming calls when thephone is locked.From Settings application:1. Open Settings.2. Scroll to Security and open. Open Phone and SIM.3. Scroll to desired method and select:Activate PhonePINSelect Yes to require entry of PIN code each timethe phone is switched on. Requires PIN code toactivate.PIN code To change PIN code, enter current PIN code, thennew PIN code twice. Press OK.PIN2 code To change PIN2 code, enter current PIN2 code,then new PIN2 code twice. Press OK.Note: If PIN or PIN2 code is entered incorrectly 3 times, the SIM cardlocks. Contact your wireless service provider for PUK or PUK2code (PIN unblock key code). If the PUK or PUK2 code is enteredincorrectly 10 times, the phone will not operate; all informationstored in the SIM card is lost and the SIM card must be replaced.Shortcut: To lock the phone, press and select Lock phone.Autolock period Set the phone to lock after a time period of noactivity. Select User defined to type in time periodin minutes. Requires lock code to set.Lock code To change lock code, enter current lock code,then new lock code twice. Record the new code ina safe place. The preset lock code is 12345.
