- 5 -Attaching or removingbattery pack1. To connect the battery pack:Insert the battery pack. It snaps intoplace to indicate proper connection.2. To remove the battery pack:Press the two buttons on the sidesof the battery pack. Slide the batterypack out of the tool body.Support handlePlace the support handle at yourfavorite position and tighten the han-dle securely.Loosen TightenRemove the handle when placing thetool in the storage case.. OPERATIONSwitch Operation1. The speed increases with the amountof depression of the trigger. Whenbeginning work, depress the triggerslightly to start the rotation slowly.2. A feedback electronic controller isused to give a strong torque even inlow speed.3. The brake operates when the trig-ger is released and the motor stopsimmediately.NOTE:When the brake operates, a brakingsound may be heard. This is normal.Forward/Reverse leverOperation(Forward ( ), Switch lock, Reverse ( ))CAUTION:Do not operate Forward/Reverselever until the chuck comes to a com-plete stop. Shifting during rotation ofthe chuck may damage the tool.Forward Rotation SwitchOperation1. Push the lever for forward rotation.2. Depress the trigger switch slightly tostart the tool slowly.3. The speed increases with theamount of depression of the triggerfor efficient tightening of screws anddrilling. The brake operates and thechuck stops immediately when thetrigger is released.4. After use, set the lever to its centerposition (switch lock).Reverse Rotation SwitchOperation1. Push the lever for reverse rotation.Check the direction of rotation be-fore use.2. Depress the trigger switch slightly tostart the tool slowly.3. After use, set the lever to its centerposition (switch lock).Clutch Torque SettingAdjust the torque to one of the 15 possi-ble settings or “ “ , “ “ position to the job.NOTE:Always make sure to stop operationof the tool and disengage it from thework, when you select Hammeringmode from Drilling mode or when youshift to Drilling mode from Hammeringmode by rotating clutch handle.CAUTION:Test the setting before actual opera-tion.Set the scale at this mark ( ).
