- 8 -Switch and Forward/ReverseLever OperationCAUTION:To prevent damage, do not operateForward/Reverse lever until the bitcomes to a complete stop.Forward Rotation SwitchOperation1. Push the lever for forward rotation.2. Depress the trigger switch slightly tostart the tool slowly.3. The speed increases with the amountof depression of the trigger for efficienttightening of screws and drilling.The brake operates and the chuckstops immediately when the trigger isreleased.4. After use, set the lever to its centerposition (switch lock).Reverse Rotation SwitchOperation1. Push the lever for reverse rotation.Check the direction of rotation beforeuse.2. Depress the trigger switch slightly tostart the tool slowly.3. After use, set the lever to its centerposition (switch lock).Forward ReverseSwitch lockClutch Torque SettingAdjust the torque to one of the 18 clutchsettings or “ ” position (EY7441).Adjust the torque to one of the 18 clutchsettings or “ ”, “ ” position (EY7940).NOTE:Always make sure to stop operationof the tool and disengage it from thework, when you select Hammeringmode from Drilling mode or whenyou shift to Drilling mode fromHammering mode by rotating clutchhandle.CAUTION:Set the clutch setting at this mark ( )before actual operation.Speed SelectionChoose a low or high speed to suit theuse.The more the variable speed controltrigger is pulled, the higher the speedbecomes.CAUTION:Check the speed selector switch●●before use.Use at low speed when high torque●●is needed during operation.
