After use, set the lever to its centerposition (switch lock).Clutch Torque SettingAdjust the torque to one of the 18 clutchs e t t i n g s o r “ ” p o s i t i o n ( E Y 7 4 4 1 ,EY74A1).Adjust the torque to one of the 18 clutchsettings or “ ”, “ ” position (EY7940).NOTE:Always make sure to stop operationof the tool and disengage it from thework, when you select Hammeringmode from Drilling mode or when youshift to Drilling mode from Hammeringmode by rotating clutch handle.CAUTION:Set the clutch setting at this mark( )before actual operation. .If the clutch handle cannot be set at“drilling” or “hammering” mode afterdriving with clutch function, set theclutch handle at position 1 and operatethe clutch for a second.Speed SelectionChoose a low or high speed to suit theuse. (EY7441, EY7940, EY74A1)LOW HIGHThe more the variable speed controltrigger is pulled, the higher the speedbecomes.Choose a low, high or auto speed tosuite the use (EY7443)* This lag occurs as the tool’s circuitrystarts up when the trigger is pulledfor the first time after installing a newbattery pack or after the tool has notbeen used for at least 1 minute (orat least 5 minutes when the LED ison). Rotation will start without anylag during second and subsequentoperations.Switch and Forward/ReverseLever OperationCAUTION:To prevent damage, do not operateForward/Reverse lever until the bitcomes to a complete stop.Forward Rotation SwitchOperation1. Push the lever for forward rotation.2. Depress the trigger switch slightly tostart the tool slowly.3. The speed increases with the amountof depression of the trigger for efficienttightening of screws and drilling.The brake operates and the chuckstops immediately when the trigger isreleased.4.
