80Chapter 5 Preparation5-1 Supplying the powerA battery pack or an external DC power supply can be usedas this unit’s power supply.To use the battery pack, there is the followingchoice of makes of batteries:≥Anton/Bauer≥IDX≥PACO≥SonyTypes of battery can be confirmed and revised in theviewfinder or the menu screen on the monitor.≥ Press the MODE CHECK button on the side panel of theunit to display the type of the battery currently set at the topright of the viewfinder screen.≥ Using the menu operation, open the screen from the VTR MENU page to confirm/change it inthe BATTERY SELECT item.≥ Batteries of other makes can also be supported bychanging the setting menu but no guarantees are made forthe system when they are actually used with this unit.≥ Before using the battery pack, recharge the battery usingthe battery charger.(For details on the recharging method, refer to theoperating instructions of the battery concerned.)5-1-1 Attaching the battery and setting thebattery typeUsing the Anton/Bauer battery pack1 Attach the battery pack made by Anton/Bauer.2 Insert the battery pack and slide it in the direction of thearrow.Battery pack madeby Anton/BauerA battery holder made by Anton/Bauer is equipped with apower output connector for the lighting and a lighting controlswitch to enable a light to be easily attached.
