TroubleshootingWUME-HGT-310-410.2 Error MessagesIf an error occurs during setting or measurement, one of the errors below will appear in the digi-tal display section / MAIN.Error Display Cause SolutionBoth NPN output types and PNPoutput types are connected. Connect only units of the same output type.Number of connectable units ex-ceeded.Make sure that no more than 15 slave units are con-nected to a master unit (or no more than 14 slave unitsare connected if a communication unit is connected).Controllers cannot communicatewith each other.Switch OFF the power, make sure the controllers areconnected correctly, and then switch ON the poweragain. The calculation function is valid butno slave units are connected. Change calculation mode to OFF.The calculation function is valid butan insufficient number of slave unitsare connected.Change calculation mode to OFF, or change the calcu-lation application selection setting. The saved number of connectedunits does not match the actualnumber of connected units.Make sure that the saved number of connected unitsmatches the actual number of connected units and thenswitch ON the power again. The master unit executed copying, but copying failed due to abnormalbehavior of the slave unit.Check whether the connected slave unit is HG series.• Sensor head not connected.• Broken wire in sensor head con-nection cable.• Sensor head failure.• Sensor head other than HG-T se-ries connected.• Check if the sensor head is correctly connected.• Check if there is a broken wire in the sensor headconnection cable. If there is a broken wire in the sen-sor head connection cable, replace the cable.• Replace the sensor head.• Connect an HG-T series sensor head. Both connected sensor heads areemitters or receivers. Connect an emitter and receiver correctly.Emitter problem. Replace the emitter.Unable to preset by external input.• Check if you attempted to preset immediately after thepower was turned ON or a reset was input.• Check if the system is in an indeterminate state.• Check if the display value is outside the display upper/ lower limit.• Check if an alarm has occurred. The beam axis adjustment functionwas executed when laser emissionstop input was ON.Set laser emission stop input to OFF and then executethe beam axis adjustment function.Unable to write to the EEPROM ofthe controller. • Switch the power OFF and then ON, and execute ini-tialization of the controller from setting mode.• If the controller does not recover after the above, it ispossible that the EEPROM write count is over 1 mil-lion. Replace the controller.Unable to read from the EEPROMof the controller. The controller EEPROM write countis over the service life of 1 milliontimes.• Unable to write or read to / fromthe EEPROM of the sensor headreceiver.• Data is invalid.• Switch the power OFF and then ON, and execute ini-tialization of the controller from setting mode.• If the controller does not recover after the above ac-tion, consult your Panasonic representative.• Unable to write or read to / fromthe EEPROM of the sensor heademitter.• Data is invalid.
