Wall mountingThere are two methods for wallmounting the sensor. To mount thesensor flat against the wall, use therear cover. To mount the sensor so thatit faces 45° to the left or right, use thewall mounting adaptor.Mounting examples*1 of the rearcover and wall mounting adaptor1A Rear cover2 B Wall mountingadaptor*1 View of looking from above.Note:R Mount the sensor on the stablelocation where the sensor can beadequately supported whenmounting.R Do not mount the sensor on a softmaterial. It may fall down, break orcause injury.R Do not mount the sensor on thefollowing places: gypsum board,ALC (autoclaved lightweight cellularconcrete), concrete block, plywoodless than 25.4 mm thick, etc.R Install the sensor opposite from thewindow that you want to monitor forglass breaks. Do not install thesensor on the same wall as thewindow.R Install the sensor such that there areno obstacles between the sensorand the window that may block thesound of glass breaking.R Ambient noise, such as the sound oftableware, glass, or metal objectscontacting each other, explosivenoises, children’s voices, howling ofdogs, etc., may cause falsedetections. False detections mayoccur when the sensor is armed if itis installed in a kitchen, garage, utility room, stairwell, bathroom, etc.R Do not install the sensor near an aircompressor, as the air pressuregenerated may cause falsedetections.R Do not install the sensor wherebreezes or wind from a fan mayblow on the sensor, as this maycause false detections or preventthe sensor from detecting the soundof glass breaking.R False detections may occur andbattery life may be drasticallyreduced if devices that producecontinuous sound (TVs, musicplayers or speakers, musicalinstruments, etc.) are located nearthe sensor.14Setup
