Mounting the sensorIn most cases, you can mount thesensor to the garage door usingdouble-sided tape. In some cases,such as when mounting the sensor to awooden surface, you can use screws.Installation precautionsR Observe the following to avoid therisk of falling, which could causeinjury or damage to property.– Mount the sensor on a stablesurface where the sensor will beadequately supported.– Do not mount the sensor onplywood less than 25.4 mm(1 inch) thick.R Install the sensor on the inside of thegarage door.R Mount the sensor near the top of thegarage door. Additionally, werecommend mounting the sensornear the left or right edge of thegarage door, so that the sensor isnot directly above the car when thegarage door is open.Securing with double-sidedtapeImportant:R Make sure the surfaces of themounting adaptor and theinstallation area of the garage doorare clean and dry before applyingdouble-sided tape. Take particularcare to remove any oil or grime thathas accumulated on the garagedoor.R Install the sensor on a smooth areaof the garage door.
