Copying data to yourphone systemYou can copy various data stored in yoursmartphone to your phone system. When datais being copied, you can confirm the progresson the handset’s display.Notes about copying dataR When copying, the estimated copy time isdisplayed. If network conditions change, itmay take more time to copy the data.R If a landline call is received while copyingdata, the copy stops. Data copied beforethe call was received is retained.R A handset cannot make calls while it isreceiving data.R If file names include characters notsupported by the handset, those characterswill be replaced by “*” when they are copied.R iPhone/iPadIf the app is left in the background for about10 minutes, any current operations will becanceled. When transferring data, makesure the app stays in the foreground untilcopying is completed.R AndroidIn order to use data copying features, yoursmartphone must either have an SD cardor user-accessible internal memory.Copying contactsYou can copy contacts from your smartphoneto the base unit phonebook. When you copycontacts, name and phone numberinformation is copied to the base unit, andcontacts’ pictures are copied to the selectedhandsets.Notes about copying contactsR Only the first 16 characters of a contact’sname and 24 digits of a contact’s phonenumber are copied.R If you have multiple phone numbersassigned to a contact, only the first 6 phonenumbers are copied.R Up to 500 contacts (500 phone numberstotal) can be stored in the base unitphonebook. Pictures for up to 500 contactscan be stored in each handset.R If a phonebook entry is erased from thebase unit phonebook, its picture is noterased. You can erase it manually(page 15).R Contacts with no phone number assignedto them will not be copied.R Phone numbers stored using theinternational dialing symbol “+” will beconverted according to base unit’s phonenumber conversion code settings. After youcopy contacts from your smartphone to thebase unit, confirm that the phone numberswere converted properly.R If the base unit’s memory becomes fullduring the copy, the last contact copiedsuccessfully is displayed on the handset.R If contact information includes charactersnot supported by the base unit or handset,those characters will be replaced by “*”when they are copied.Copying specific contacts1 Start the app and open the [More] screen.2 Tap [Send contacts] ® [Add to list].R Your smartphone’s phonebook appstarts.3 Tap the desired contact.R The selected contact is added to thelist of items that will be copied.
