9 TroubleshootingPROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE SOLUTION• The LED of the CS does notchange to Green ON.• The optional service card isnot working.• Install the card properly.• CS is not connectedproperly.• Make sure that the cable is connectedproperly with correct pin assignments.Also, make sure that the cable does notmake short circuits.• CS is not set for normaloperation.• Switch all DIP switches off.• The status of the port thatthe CS is connected to isOut of Service.• Change the port status from Out ofService to In Service using theMaintenance Console.KX-T0158 CS to aKX-TDA600/KX-TDE100/KX-TDE200/KX-TDE600>• The Local Processor (LPR)software of thecorresponding DHLC/DLCcard is not version 5.000 orlater.• Upgrade the LPR software of theDHLC/DLC card.• Both KX-T0158 andKX-T0155 CSs areconnected to the samecard, and the KX-T0158CSs are connected tohigher-numbered pins onthe card than theKX-T0155 CSs.• Connect the KX-T0158 CSs tolower-numbered pins on the card thanthe KX-T0155 CSs.• Connect the KX-T0158 and KX-T0155CSs to different cards.• The maximum number ofPS calls that the CSsupports cannot be made.• Poor connection • Make sure that a 4-pair cable is usedfor connection.• The LED of the CS staysRed ON during normaloperation.• CS malfunction • Replace the CS.• "CLEAR SCAN DATA" isdisplayed on the PS'sscreen after turning on thePS.• The PS cannot be used fornormal operation whenscan data is stored on thePS.• Clear the scan data by following theprocedure described in "Clearing theStored Scan Data" in this guide.Document Version 2009-12 Quick Installation Guide 459 Troubleshooting
