35Basic Operation“Storing Caller List Information in theDirectoryYou can store numbers that are in the Caller List in the directory.Make sure the unit is in the standby mode.1 Lift the handset off the base unit andpress (›) or (‹) to enter the Caller List.2 Press (›) or (‹) repeatedly to find thecaller you want to store in the directory.Press EDIT (fl).≥If the number requires editing, see page 34.3 Press (›) or (‹) to select “Savedirectory” , and press EDIT (fl) (Yeskey).If there is no name information for thecaller, “Enter name” will bedisplayed.a) If a name is not required, press (›)(Next key) and EDIT (fl) (Save key).b) If a name is required, enter the name(p. 40). When finished, press (›)(Next key) and EDIT (fl) (Save key).≥A beep sounds.≥The display will return to step 2. You cancontinue storing other items.≥To return to the standby mode, press (OFF).≥You can exit the programming mode any time by pressing (OFF).≥If the display shows “Directory full” in step 3, the display will return tostep 2. Press (OFF) to exit the list.
