This feature is useful for timeperiods when you do not want to be disturbed, forexample, while sleeping. Silent mode can be setindependently for each base unit and handset.Important:L Set the date and time beforehand (page 12).L Handset only: If you have set the alarm, thealarm sounds even if the silent mode is turnedon.Turning silent mode on/off1 {MENU} i {#}{2}{3}{8}2 {V}/{^}: Select “On” or “Off”. i {SAVE}L If you select “Off”, press {■} (EXIT) on thebase unit or {OFF} on the handset to exit.3 Enter the desired hour and minute you wish tostart this feature.4 {AM/PM}: Select “AM” or “PM”. i {OK}5 Enter the desired hour and minute you wish toend this feature.6 {AM/PM}: Select “AM” or “PM”.7 {SAVE}8 Proceed with the operation for your unit.Base unit: {■} (EXIT)Handset: {OFF}L When the silent mode is set, & isdisplayed.Note:L To correct a digit, proceed with the operation foryour unit.Base unit: press {7} or {8} to move thecursor to the digit, then make the correction.Handset: press {^} or {V} to move the cursor tothe digit, then make the correction.Changing the start and end time1 {MENU} i {#}{2}{3}{7}2 Continue from step 3, “Turning silent modeon/off”, page 25.AlarmAn alarm sounds at the set time for 3 minutes onceor daily.
