Preparation5Important informationGeneralL Use only the AC adaptor supplied withthis product, noted on page 4.L Do not connect the AC adaptor to anyAC outlet other than a standard220–240 V AC outlet.L This product is unable to make callswhen:– the portable handset battery(ies)need recharging or have failed.– there is a power failure.– the key lock feature is turned on.L Do not open the base unit, charger, orhandset other than to replace thebattery(ies).L This product should not be used nearemergency/intensive care medicalequipment and should not be used bypeople with pacemakers.L Care should be taken that objects donot fall onto, and liquids are not spilledinto, the product. Do not subject thisproduct to excessive smoke, dust,mechanical vibration or shock.EnvironmentL Do not use this product near water.L This product should be kept awayfrom heat sources such as radiators,cookers, etc. It should also not beplaced in rooms where thetemperature is less than 5 °C orgreater than 40 °C.L It is advised not to use the equipmentat a refuelling point.
