Answering System22 For assistance, please visit http://www.panasonic.com/phonehelp*1 When you have no new messages, theunit plays back all messages.To stop playing, press {2} again.Adjusting the receiver volumePress {V} or {^} repeatedly while listeningto a message.Voice memoRecording a voice memoYou can use the base unit to leave a voicememo (voice message) for yourself orsomeone else (max. 3 minutes). Voicememos can be played back later with thesame operation used to play backanswering system messages.1 Press and hold {MEMO}.2 After the unit beeps, speak clearlyabout 20 cm (8 inches) away from theMIC.3 To stop recording, release {MEMO}.Remote operationUsing a touch tone phone, you can callyour phone number from outside andaccess the unit to listen to messages. Theunit’s voice guidance prompts you to presscertain dial keys to perform differentoperations.Important:L In order to operate the answeringsystem remotely, you must first set aremote code (page 23). This code mustbe entered each time you operate theanswering system remotely.Using the answering systemremotely1 Dial your phone number.2 After the greeting message starts,press any key.3 Enter your remote code (page 23).L The voice guidance starts.4 Follow the voice guidance asnecessary.5 When finished, hang up.Note:L You can ignore the voice guidance andcontrol the unit using remote commands(page 23).Voice guidanceOperations are presented by voiceguidance in the following order:– Press seven, to review menu again– Press tow, to play messages, press twoagain, to stop– Press zero, while playing a message toerase– Press one, to review– Press three, to skip– Press four, to turn off/onNote:L If you do not press any dial keys within30 seconds after a voice guidanceprompt, the unit disconnects your call.
