Conference54Conference with an external call and intercom callWhile you are talking with an outside caller, you can call the base unit orthe handset to make a conference call. When the system has one or moreadditional handsets (p. 23), you can make a conference call with yourhandset and another handset.Base unit1 During a call, press(LOCATOR/INTERCOM/TRANSFER).•The call is put on hold.2 To page the handset, enterthe extension number usingthe dialing button ((1) to (8)).3 When the paged partyanswers, press (CONF) on thebase unit to make aconference call.•To leave the conference, press(DIGITAL!SP-PHONE). The twoother parties can continue theconversation.Handset:1 During a call, press (HOLD)(TRANSFER).•The call is put on hold.2 To page the base unit, press (0).ORTo page another handset (whenthe system has additionalhandsets, p. 23), enter theextension number using thedialing button ((1) to (8)).3 When the paged party answers,press (CONF/FUNCTION) onyour handset to make aconference call.•To leave the conference, press(OFF). Internal communicationsbetween extensions are not suspended. Only the person who placed the call onhold can resume the full conference; press (CONF/FUNCTION) on the handset or(CONF) on the base unit.•One more extension can join the conference call if all other extensions are notbeing used. To join the conference call, press the relevant soft key ( or) on the handset or the relevant line button on the base unit.LINE2LINE1
