Contactyour service provider/telephonecompany for details.For all local and national incoming calls,your display will show the area code(e.g. 09 for Auckland) or the cellularprefix (e.g. 0274 for Telecom Cellular)followed by the caller’s phone number.An Auckland caller’s number will bedisplayed as 09XXXXXXX. The 7 X’srepresent the 7 digits of the caller’sphone number. A caller from a 6-digitTelecom Cellular number will bedisplayed as 0274XXXXXX. Forincoming international calls, your displaymay only show “0000”. For businessusers on a Centrex line, your display willshow Centrex extension numbers in theshorter extension number format usedwithin your company.L The Caller ID information is notpresented on incoming fax calls ifTelecom FaxAbility is used.Using toll services from Telecom oranother companyYour service provider/telephonecompany may charge you for a local callif the number dialled has the area codeprefix included. If this is unacceptable,dial only the 7-digit local number. Do notdial the “0” prefix or the area code.Caller ID featuresWhen an outside call is being received,the phone number is displayed.Caller information for the last 50 callersis logged in the caller list from the mostrecent call to the oldest.L If the unit cannot receive callerinformation, the following is displayed:– “Out of area”: The caller dialledfrom an area which does notprovide Caller ID service.– “Private caller”: The callerrequested not to send callerinformation.L If the unit is connected to a PBXsystem, caller information may not bereceived properly. Contact your PBXsupplier.L If the name display service is availablein your area, the display shows callernames. For further information,please contact your serviceprovider/telephone company.Missed callsIf a call is not answered, the unit treatsthe call as a missed call. The displayshows “Missed call”. This lets youknow if you should view the caller list tosee who called while you were away.Phonebook name displayWhen caller information is received andit matches a phone number stored in thephonebook, the stored name in thephonebook is displayed and logged inthe caller list.Ringer IDThis feature can help you identify who iscalling by using different ringers fordifferent callers stored in the phonebook.You can assign a different ringer to eachphonebook entry. When a call isreceived from a caller stored in thephonebook, the assigned ringer ringsafter the caller information is displayed.If you select “No Ringer ID” (default),the handset uses the ringer tone youselected on page 24 when a call isreceived from that caller.
