Call Display Service28Using Call DisplayserviceThis unit is Call Display compatible. To useCall Display features, you must subscribeto your telephone company’s Call Displayservice.Call Display featuresWhen an outside call is being received, thecalling party’s name or telephone numberwill be displayed.Caller information for the last 50 differentcallers will be logged in the caller list,allowing you to return missed calls. Callerinformation is stored by the most recentcall to the oldest.L When caller information is received andit matches a phone number stored in thephonebook:– The stored name will be displayed andlogged in the caller list. (Personalizedname display)– The handset will use the ringer toneand the ringer indicator color youassigned to the caller. (Ringer ID andlight-up ID)L While listening to a message recordedby the answering system, using thehandset, you can call back the callerwithout having to dial the phone number(page 48).L If the unit cannot receive callerinformation, the following will bedisplayed:“Unavailable Name & No.”/“Unavailable”*1 : The caller dialedfrom an area which does not provideCall Display service.“Private caller”: The callerrequested not to send caller information.“Long distance”: The caller calledyou long distance.L If the unit is connected to a PBX system,caller information may not be receivedproperly. Consult your PBX supplier.*1 Shown while viewing the caller list.Ringer ID and light-up IDThis feature can help you identify who iscalling by using different ringers and ringerindicator colors for different callers storedin the phonebook. You can assign adifferent ringer and indicator color to eachphonebook item. When a call is receivedfrom a caller stored in the phonebook, theringer and indicator color are used aftercaller information is displayed.L Usually the ringer and indicator color willbe changed from the 2nd ring.Ringer IDYou can assign a different ringer tone toeach caller in the phonebook. If you select“No Ringer ID”, the unit will use theringer tone you set on page 37 when a callis received from that caller.
