After you subscribe to thisservice, the telephone service provider’sVoice Mail system will answer calls for youwhen you are unavailable to answer thephone or when your line is busy.Messages are recorded by the telephoneservice provider, not your telephone.Important:L Please contact your telephone serviceprovider for details and availability of thisservice in your area.Storing the Voice Mail (VM)access numberIn order to listen to your Voice Mailmessages, you must dial your telephoneservice provider’s Voice Mail accessnumber. Once you have stored your VoiceMail access number, you can dial itautomatically (page 33).1 {MENU} i {0}{7}{1}2 Enter your access number (max. 32digits). i {Save} i {OFF}Note:L When storing your Voice Mail accessnumber and your mailbox password,press {PAUSE} to add pauses (page18) between the access number and thepassword as necessary. Consult yourtelephone service provider for therequired pause time.Example:To erase the Voice Mail access numberRepeat step 1, then press and hold{Clear} until all digits are erased. Press{Save}, then press {OFF}.Voice Mail (VM) tone detectionYour telephone service provider sendsspecial signals (sometimes called “VoiceMail tones” or “stutter tones”) to the unit tolet you know you have new Voice Mailmessages. If you hear a series of dialtones followed by a continuous dial toneafter you press {C}, you have new VoiceMail messages.
