After you subscribe to thisservice, the telephone service provider’sVoice Mail system will answer calls for youwhen you are unavailable to answer thephone or when your line is busy.Messages are recorded by the telephoneservice provider, not your telephone.Important:L Please contact your telephone serviceprovider for details and availability of thisservice in your area.Storing the Voice Mail (VM)access numberIn order to listen to your Voice Mailmessages, you must dial your telephoneservice provider’s Voice Mail accessnumber. Once you have stored your VoiceMail access number, you can dial itautomatically (page 33).1 {MENU} i {0}{7}{1}2 Enter your access number (max. 32digits). i {Save} i {OFF}Note:L When storing your Voice Mail accessnumber and your mailbox password,press {PAUSE} to add pauses (page19) between the access number and thepassword as necessary. Consult yourtelephone service provider for therequired pause time.Example:To erase the Voice Mail access numberRepeat step 1, then press and hold{Clear} until all digits are erased. Press{Save}, then press {OFF}.Listening to Voice MailmessagesIf compatible with message indicationsignals provided by your service provider,the unit lets you know that you have newVoice Mail messages in the followingways:– “Voice Mail” is displayed on thehandset.– The message indicator on the handsetflashes slowly if message alert feature isturned on.1 Press {C}, then press {VM} within 15seconds.L If {VM} is not displayed, the VoiceMail access number has not beenstored.
