Acompliant telephone cord and modularplug is provided with the product. It isdesigned to be connected to acompatible modular jack that is alsocompliant.The REN is used to determine thenumber of devices that may beconnected to a telephone line.Excessive RENs on a telephone linemay result in the devices not ringing inresponse to an incoming call. In mostbut not all areas, the sum of RENsshould not exceed five (5.0). To becertain of the number of devices thatmay be connected to a line, asdetermined by the total RENs, contactthe local telephone company. Forproducts approved after July 23, 2001,the REN for the product is part of theproduct identifier that has the formatUS:AAAEQ##TXXXX. The digitsrepresented by ## are the RENwithout a decimal point (e.g., 03 is aREN of 0.3).If this equipment causes harm to thetelephone network, the telephonecompany will notify you in advancethat temporary discontinuance ofservice may be required. But ifadvance notice isn’t practical, thetelephone company will notify thecustomer as soon as possible. Also,you will be advised of your right to filea complaint with the FCC if youbelieve it is necessary.The telephone company may makechanges in its facilities, equipment,operations or procedures that couldaffect the operation of the equipment.If this happens the telephone companywill provide advance notice in order foryou to make necessary modificationsto maintain uninterrupted service.If trouble is experienced with thisequipment, for repair or warrantyinformation, please contact a FactoryService Center or other AuthorizedServicer.
