Do not connect the AC adaptorto a ceilingmounted AC outlet, as the weight of the adaptormay cause it to become disconnected.During a power failureThe base unit will work as a standard telephone usingpower from the telephone line, so you can make andanswer outside calls with the corded handset. However, thisoperation may not work properly depending on area or tele-phone line’s condition. The base unit speakerphone and thecordless handset will not function during a power failure.5.2. Battery5.2.1. Battery InstallationNote for service:The battery strength may not be indicated correctly if thebattery is disconnected and connected again, even after it isfully charged. In that case, by recharging the battery asmentioned above, you will get a correct indication of thebattery strength.
