Subscriber’s Guide50GlossaryAlternate Extension GroupTransfers the call coming into the extensions in this group following the sequencespecified by "Alternate Extension Transfer Sequence".APT IntegrationDigital Integration between the KX-TA624 and the VPS. APT Integration is onlyavailable for the KX-TVS95.Auto Configuration(Available with APT/DPT Integration only.) The VPS can automatically drawinformation from the KX-TA624, the KX-TD816, the KX-TD1232, the KX-TA1232, theKX-TD308, the KX-TD500, or the KX-TDA/KX-TAW series. This informationincludes, among other things, extension number assignments for each VPS port.This saves time in the initial setup. Auto Configuration can be executed by DIP/Rotary Switch settings or by System Administration (Quick Setup).Auto ForwardingAllows unretrieved messages to be copied or moved to another mailbox.Automated AttendantThe Automated Attendant feature of the VPS requests the caller to enter anextension number and then the VPS dials the number. If there is no answer or theline is busy, the caller is given some options, including the option to leave a messagein a mailbox. This is the advantage of calling an extension indirectly through theAutomated Attendant rather than calling it directly.Call BlockingConnects the caller to the Incomplete Call Handling Service without ringing thesubscriber’s extension.Call ScreeningAllows subscribers to screen calls. The VPS prompts the caller with the message"Record your name at the tone", and records the caller’s name; it then puts the calleron hold while playing the name to the subscriber who decides whether to take thecall or not.Call TransferTransfers a call to the requested destination.Called Party ID(Sometimes referred to as Follow-On ID) Allows the PBX to dial extra digits to bringthe caller directly to a specified mailbox, rather than to the General Delivery Mailbox.Caller ID CallbackEnables a subscriber to call back a message sender with the Caller ID numberattached to the message.
