- 139 -OthersCautions for UseTake care not to drop or knock the unit or put a lot of pressure on it.• Take care not to knock or drop the bag/case that you inserted the camera in as the shock maycause damage to the camera, lens or LCD monitor.• Do not attach any other items to the hand strap that’s included with your camera. While beingstored, that item can rest against the LCD monitor and damage it.• Do not use a paper bag as it can easily rip causing the camera to fall and be damaged.• We strongly recommend you purchase a good camera bag/case from your local dealer toprotect your camera.Keep the camera as far away as possible from electromagnetic equipment (such asmicrowave ovens, TVs, video games etc.).• If you use the camera on top of or near a TV, the pictures and sound on the camera may bedisrupted by electromagnetic wave radiation.• Do not use the camera near cell phones because doing so may result in noise adverselyaffecting the pictures and sound.• Recorded data may be damaged, or pictures may be distorted, by strong magnetic fieldscreated by speakers or large motors.• Electromagnetic wave radiation generated by microprocessors may adversely affect thecamera, disturbing the pictures and sound.• If the camera is adversely affected by electromagnetic equipment and stops functioningproperly, turn the camera off and remove the battery or disconnect AC adaptor (optional). Thenreinsert the battery or reconnect AC adaptor and turn the camera on.Do not use the camera near radio transmitters or high-voltage lines.• If you record near radio transmitters or high-voltage lines, the recorded pictures and sound maybe adversely affected.Always use the supplied cords and cables. If you use optional accessories, use thecords and the cables supplied with them.Do not extend the cords or the cables.Do not spray the camera with insecticides or volatile chemicals.• If the camera is sprayed with such chemicals, the body of the camera may be damaged and thesurface finish may peel off.• Do not keep rubber or plastic products in contact with the camera for a long period of time.Optimal use of the camera
