Others48LSQT1130ª About the batteryThe battery used in the movie camera is arechargeable lithium ion battery. This battery issusceptible to temperature and humidity, and theeffect of temperature increases with increasing ordecreasing temperature. In the low temperaturerange, the fully charged indication may notappear, or the low battery indication may appearabout 5 minutes after the start of use. At hightemperature, moreover, the protection functionmay work, disabling use of the movie camera.Be sure to detach the battery after use.≥If the battery is left attached to the moviecamera, a minute amount of current isconsumed even when the movie camera poweris [OFF]. If the battery is left attached to themovie camera for a long time, over-dischargetakes place. The battery may become unusableafter it is charged.≥The battery should be stored in a cool place freefrom humidity, with as constant temperature aspossible. (Recommended temperature: 15 oC to25 oC, Recommended humidity: 40% to 60%)≥Extremely high temperatures or lowtemperatures will shorten the life of the battery.≥If the battery is kept in a high-temperature,high-humidity, or oily-smoky places, theterminals may rust and cause malfunctions.≥To store the battery for a long period of time, werecommend you charge it once every year andstore it again after you have completely used upthe charged capacity.≥Dust and other matter attached to the batteryterminals should be removed.Prepare spare batteries when going out forrecording.≥Prepare batteries appropriate to 3 to 4 times theperiod during you want to record pictures in. Incold places such as a ski resort, the periodduring which you can record pictures isshortened.≥When you travel, do not forget to bring an ACadaptor so that you can recharge the batteriesat your destination.If you drop the battery accidentally, check tosee if the terminals are deformed.≥Attaching a deformed battery to the moviecamera or the AC adaptor may damage themovie camera or the AC adaptor.Do not throw old battery into fire.≥Heating a battery or throwing it into a fire mayresult in an explosion.If the operating time is very short even afterthe battery has been recharged, the batteryhas worn out. Please purchase a new battery.ª About the AC adaptor≥If the battery is warm, charging requires moretime than normal.≥If the temperature of the battery is extremelyhigh or extremely low, the [CHARGE] lamp maycontinue flashing, and the battery may not becharged. After the battery temperature hasdecreased or increased sufficiently, rechargingstarts automatically. So, wait for a while. If thelamp still continues flashing even after therecharging, the battery or the AC adaptor maybe faulty. If so, please contact a dealer.≥If you use the AC adaptor near a radio, radioreception may be disturbed. Keep the ACadaptor 1 metre or more away from radio.≥When using the AC adaptor, it may generatewhirring sounds. However, this is normal.≥After use, be sure to pull out the AC mains leadfrom the AC mains socket.
