89EEPROM Copy JigThis PTV has a feature that allows the copy of the convergence EEPROM datafrom one PTV to another by connecting a jig to the PTV set. The jig can also beused to back-up data before making adjustments. A jig part numberTXFJIG01SER, is available through Matsushita/Panasonic Services.Preparation:To connect the jig, remove the lower back cover as instructed in the disassemblyprocedure found in the service manual and insert the jig into connector A10located on the A-Board. (See figure 48.)Procedure to copy data:1. Enter the service mode and displaythe service menu.Using the CH c or CHd and eVOL orVOLf buttons select “AREA” DAC andthen press the OK button on the remotecontrol to enter. Press VOL right/left toselect one of the following options thenpress OK:• Select ALL to copy all mainEEPROM data• Select ADJ to copy onlyadjustment data.• Select FIX to copy only fixdata2. To copy data from the mainEEPROM to the jig, select“IN→EX” DAC and press the OKbutton on the remote.3. To copy data from the jig to themain EEPROM, select “EX→IN”DAC and press the OK button on the remote.Procedure to copy convergence:1. Enter the service mode and display the service menu2. Select “FINE” DAC and press OK on the remote control.3. Press the “8” key on the remote.4. Select “From” and then press OK on the remote:• INT to copy data from internal EEPROM to jig• EXT to copy from jig to internal EEPROM.5. Select an option from the menu with the CH keys and confirm with OK:• DEFAULT: Default factory presetFigure 50
