3FOR SYSTEMS WITHOUT COOL/HEAT CHANGEOVER REMOTE CONTROLSWITCH (see figure 4)1 Press the operation mode selector button several times andselect the operation mode of your choice;Cooling operationHeating operationAutomatic operationFan only operationNote• Automatic operation (RSEYP only)In this operation mode, cool/heat changeover isautomatically conducted.2 Press the on/off button.The operation lamp lights up and the system startsoperation.FOR SYSTEMS WITH COOL/HEAT CHANGEOVER REMOTE CONTROLSWITCH (see figure 7)1 Select operation mode with the cool/heat changeoverremote control switch as follows:Cooling operation (see figure 7.1)Heating operation (see figure 7.2)Fan only operation (see figure 7.3)2 Press the on/off button.The operation lamp lights up and the system startsoperation.AdjustmentFor programming temperature, fan speed and air flowdirection (only for the remote controller BRC1A51: FXYCP,FXYFP, FXYKP), follow the procedure shown below.3 Press the temperature setting button and program thedesired temperature.Each time this button is pressed, the temperaturesetting rises or lowers 1°C.Note• Set the temperature within the operation range.• The temperature setting is impossible for fan onlyoperation.4 Press the fan speed control button and select the fan speedof your preference.5 Press air flow direction adjust button.Refer to the chapter "Adjusting the air flow direction" fordetails.Stopping the system6 Press the on/off button once again.The operation lamp goes off and the system stops operation.Note• Do not turn off power immediately after the unit stops, butwait for at least 5 minutes.EXPLANATION OF HEATING OPERATIONDefrost operation (heatpump types only)• In heating operation, freezing of the outdoor unit coilincreases. Heating capability decreases and the systemgoes into defrost operation.• The indoor unit fan stops and the remote controllerdisplays .• After maximum 10 minutes of defrost operation, thesystem returns to heating operation again.Hot start (heatpump types only)• In order to prevent cold air from blowing out of an indoorunit at the start of heating operation, the indoor fan isautomatically stopped. The display of the remotecontroller shows .PROGRAM DRY OPERATION• The function of this program is to decrease the humidityin your room with a minimum temperature decrease.• The micro computer automatically determinestemperature and fan speed.• The system does not go into operation if the roomtemperature is low.FOR SYSTEMS WITHOUT COOL/HEAT CHANGEOVER REMOTE CONTROLSWITCH (see figure 5)1 Press the operation mode selector button several times andselect ( program dry operation)2 Press the on/off buttonThe operation lamp lights up and the system startsoperation.3 Press the air flow direction adjust button (only for FXYCP,FXYFP, FXYKP).
